Welcome to Antartica

Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent, containing the geographic South Pole. It is situated in the Antarctic region of the Southern Hemisphere. It is the fifth-largest continent in area after Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. Antarctica is nearly twice the size of Australia. About 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice.

Antarctica, on average, is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent, and has the highest average elevation of all the continents. It is the coldest of Earth's continents. The coldest natural temperature ever recorded on Earth was −89.2 °C.

In addition to penguins which are the main attraction in Antarctica, you can also view many different types of birds, seals, and whales. The things to do in Antarctica are some of the most unique things to do in the world. Deception Bay is a caldera of a volcano and the prime site for swimming in Antarctica because the water is generally warmer due to the volcano and also because the world’s largest Chin Strap Penguin Colony lives on the island.

You can take a Zodiac Cruise in Antarctica, it’s a cruise boat where approximately 8-12 people can be taken inside the smaller passageways in Antarctica. Here you can see icebergs and if you are lucky enough you will also get a chance to see different types of seals including leopard seal. Also you can enjoy kayaking and camping here.
